Autoplay starts running?

Hello,

All of a sudden Autoplay starts to run for about 15 seconds and turns
itself off. It seems to be running through files. I am using WinXP SP2
with all updates.

The only thing that may have something to do with this is that I have
a USB Removable drive. At one point I got a window asking what media
program I wanted to use for the drive. I said none but Autoplay might
be running through some files on that drive. I am not sure of this.

Does anyone know what might be happening and how I can turn Autoplay
off?

Thanks,

Bob

Try this:
Thanks a lot. I ran the autoplay.exe fix and it seems to be OK so
far. I will post again if it comes back.

Hello Again,

Well, I ran the autofix.exe and it did find a problem. But it says
that autofix can not fix that type of problem. They symptom is that I
get a small box labled autoplay that seems to be running through a
bunch of files. It lasts for about 15 seconds and goes away with no
further problem. I have the log printout below.

Can you think of anything else that I might try?

Thanks,

Bob
