Glad to hear you got it working. If you weren't the tech configuring the original install, I'd have to wonder if it wasn't left out the first time around.

Well it appears in the .mst file, but not the .prf file. IDK, maybe
some other issue going on behind the scenes in the programming???

Oh i forgot to mention one thing out about all this, and that is that
i'm using Outlook XP not 2003. Sorry for leaving that tidbit out!

Not an insignificant tidbit, I'm afraid. If you'll review the steps you followed, I can try them in that version.

All i did was review the .prf file on the pc's that were imaged with
the OS where office was custom installed on, and then compared the
settings in this file in comparison with the settings in the .mst file
and seen that in the .prf file in section 2, service2=Outlook address
book wasn't listed, and also in section 4 [service2] wasn't listed. So
i added both entries into the .prf file on the pc, and it worked fine.
I also copied this updated .prf file to another pc and it still worked
fine.

I think I was asking about how the .mst was produced. That's the part worth investigating, to try to determine why it doesn't have the OAB setting.
