I've reviewed KB15246 re automating DC and I don't
understand how to implement the options. My goal is to
have DC run as a scheduled task on two drives without my
having to OK anything after I've initially chosen the
options. The bulletin does not give step by step
instructions on how to do this and is confusing at best,
e.g., "you might need to specify the drive where Windows
is installed." Would appreciate some advice. Thnx in
advance.

Why automate it. Anytime you want to run this tool: Start/My
Computer/right click the Hard Disk icon [this will be Drive C if you
only have have one Hard Drive]/click "Properties" on the Drop Down
Menu/under the Properties General Tab, scroll down and click "Disk Cleanup".

.
Tasks can be automated by use of a batch file. See:
http://www.informationweek.com/story/showArticle.jhtml?
articleID=15600170

Command line reference:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?
url=/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/proddocs/ntcmds.asp

If you go to command line reference there is an entry
under "B" for batch files.
