automaticaly number labels?

I am trying to number labels. I am not allowed to put a header on each label
to insert a page number, but I was wondering if there is another way to
number each label.

One way is to insert a {SEQ} field on each label. In the Word help, look for
"Field codes: Seq (Sequence) field" for explanation.
