Automatically updating duplicate files

Is there a way of updating copied files simultaneously?

For example, if I copy file X from folder A to folder B so
it is in both folders and I change the contents of file X
in folder B, is there a way of updating File X in folder A
without copying it back again?

A bit confusing, but probably you can use just Copy and Paste commands...
