Automatically turnning ---------- into full page line with enter

For ages I have typed in the ------------- or ___________ line and hit enter
and it turns the line into a full page parallel line. Somehow I got that
messed up and cannot find how to get it back on.

Help, please.
 
In Word 2002 or 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat
As You Type tab | check the "Border lines" box | OK.
