automatically locks workstation

P

peter

Hi,

I am using Windows XP Professional Edition and for some reason when I leave
the computer for a while , it automatically locks itself. I have to enter
the password to unlock the workstation again.

There are no jobs to carry out automatically locking the workstation running
under "scheduled task".

Can anyone tell me is there a setting somewhere else that will do this?

Thanks

Peter

Peter,

Remove the password protection for the screen-saver and configure your computer to not prompt you to type a password when you resume from standby:

Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Power Options.
On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby check box, and then click OK.
