automatically Change From address to some default

Hi,

Is it possible to specify default sender?

Here's the situation: SBS 2003, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003

Two users in Active Directory: A and B. A has full rights to B's
mailbox, and also "send on behalf".

In Outlook, user A has its own mailbox open and additionally the
mailbox of B.

If you select a message from B's inbox, hit Reply, the From field
defaults to B's address.
User A can change the From field to A's address manually and send the
message. It goes out as "A on behalf of B".

Ok, it works, but A has to remember to hit "From" and change the
address - pain in the neck!

What I need is a way to specify default "From" address (in this case
A's address), so that any new email, or email reply to a message in B's
mailbox goes out "From" A's address.

Can anyone help me out?

That should already be the case; no need to change the from field. If it
shows the B address on the receiving end this is because you've also
assigned "Send As" permissions for A on B and not just Send On Behalf Of.

Normal.

User A can change the From field to A's address manually and send the
message. It goes out as "A on behalf of B".

Ok, it works, but A has to remember to hit "From" and change the
address - pain in the neck!

What I need is a way to specify default "From" address (in this case
A's address), so that any new email, or email reply to a message in
B's mailbox goes out "From" A's address.

You might check out www.ivasoft.biz for some Exchange add-ins, but it isn't
really that difficult to remove the erroneous address in the From field. A
doesn't need to put in his/her address - just delete whatever's there, and
it will go out from A.

If you don't want A to send as B at all, get rid of the Send on Behalf Of
rights (and also make sure A doesn't have Send As rights to B in ADUC,
security).
