Automatic Updates

I have a few questions about updates. I am running Citrix on top of the 2000
TS box. How do you handle updates? Do I need to change modes in terminal
server? What about automatic updates? Any guidance will be appreciated.

I only run windows updates on Citrix & TS to fix a specific problem (or for
critical security updates that are actually being exploited), and highly
recommend that you not install every update that is released or that you turn
on automatic updates.

Install mode is usually not required for Windows Update, as these are
usually not end user programs, but rather updates to system files. That
being said, it doesn't hurt to put the server in install mode when running
Windows Updates (I do this).

Make sure you have a known good backup, preferably an image backup, before
making any changes to a Terminal Server (in case the update makes the system
unstable).
