I had the following message that kept popping up.

Automatic update has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience.
If you are in the middle of something, the information you are working on
might be lost.
Then I close this, and I get this.
wuauclt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.
An error log is being created.

I just let it create the error log and when "OK" comes up. I press "OK"
It seems to have gotten better now. Is this the way to do this?

If you've recently upgraded to SP2, you might check services and start the
Background Intelligent Transfer Services. That might help.

I have had SP2 for a while already, but if you think it will work, I will try
it.
