Don't know offhand but what I would try is to manually run Windows Updates
from all programs to see if that works or not. I tend to doubt that it is a
virus issue but as always best practice is to scan your computer for malware
when you experience strange behavior and be sure to download the latest
definitions for whatever program you scan with.
