Automatic Shut Off

When I used Windows 98, the computer would shut itself off automatically
when I did a Shut Down. Now that I am using Windows XP, I must shut it off
manually. Has the automatic feature been removed, or is there an option of
setting that I must make to activate the automatic feature?
