Automatic Shut-off

When I used Windows 98, the computer shut itself off when I clicked on Shut
down; now that I have Windows XP, I must do the shut off manually. Has the
automatic shut off feature been removed or is there an option or setting
that I must make to activate it?

The problem is that you may now have too many options to
choose. Right click your desktop then click properties
then the screen saver tab then the power button and
configure what you want here. I have mine set to
never\never\and never\ on all three drop down lists under
power schemes. Then on the advanced tab I have shut down
and shut down under Power buttons and on the hibernate tab
I have left it blank as I don't hibernate and on the UPS I
have the service stopped as I don't use an Uninterupted
Power Supply. Keep smiling.
