1.How can I identify / determine the order programs start in the startup
folder.
2.Some programs startup from data in the registry....how do I determine the
order these programs start on boot.
Is there away to determine both start sequences in 1 and 2 above?
Thanks

I renamed each item in the startup folder, starting with a number in the
sequence I want them to startup, and that seems to work fine, thanks.
Can you tell me how can I find out all the programs that startup
automatically during boot other than the ones in the startup folder?
Thanks

'Welcome and sure: Try Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup. Other than that the
program below will list them for you.

Windows XP Startup Programs Tracker

Added info for msconfig/startup:

Check for an option to not having the icon load in the System Tray via the
program(s) in question.

Other options for removal:

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig. Go to the Startup Tab and uncheck
accordingly. Then run this script to remove the disabled items from the
registry.

Or...remove the runkeys from here: Start/Run/Regedit
