Automatic line insertions

I used underlines to separate segments in a long document. Sometimes I get
double lines inside my documents now, but lines are always appearing
automatically at the end of each page, where I don't want them...and only
move if I try to delete them. I've tried selecing "none" in formatting
borders, etc,...but that doesn't help.

If they're borders, you should be able to delete them by setting borders to
None, though you may need to do this for quite a few paragraphs if you've
inadvertently applied a bottom border to several paragraphs in succession (a
Bottom border will be displayed only on the last paragraph in a series).
