automatic increment

Hi,

i know the problem i will tell you belongs to database newsgroup but maybe
there is a way for VB to do that.

I use integer id for customers. Access database give autonumber as id for
customers. When i erase a customer, database doesn't use it's id number for
another customer again. Is there any way for database or VB to solve that
problem??

Take a look at this...

....and do a search for '-1'

The basic idea is that autoincrement fields local to the machine
go -1, -2, -3 but that they get updated with the correct, central
database
generated value, when you push the new rows back to the server.

No there is no other method than not using that method but creating your own
id's
