Automatic email check

Does anyone know how to stop outlook (v.2003) from automatically checking for
emails? I would like to set it to only check for new messages when I click
the send/receive button. I know this is probably easy for many of you, but I
cannot seem to find anything on it in the help.

Tools > Send/Receive > Send/Receive Settings > Define Send/Receive groups...
