Automatic download of messages

How can I change the setting in my Windows Mail so that not all messages (not
only new mail, but also all the folders) are downloaded automatically every
time I open my mail account?
 
Wow, a question that a new boy like me can answer!

Sonja, go to Tools > Options > General and tick "Send and receive messages
at startup". This will automatically download any new mail when you turn on
Windows Mail. Not sure what you mean about folders -- the default folders
(and any new ones that you have created) should all be there whenever you
open up WMail.

Is it a POP3 or IMAP account?
