automatic delete of inbox email

As I was deleting an email in my inbox using the "del"
button, Outlook began deleting ALL the email in my
folder, one by one. This has happened twice to me.
Items are in my "Deleted" file now, but it is annoying
having to retrieve and sort through them all again. Has
this happened to anyone?

Only when the Delete key accidently got stuck.
