automatic date updating and insertion on letters

1 The month comes up when the first four letters are
inserted. Enter spells it out. Space bar is hit. NOTHING
comes up for the date or month when enter is pressed. How
do I correct lack of entry?

2 When I try to print envelope, I get an error message
that text is outside the printable area in section 1.
Return address is not completed properly on envelope. How
do I fix envelope printing without reformatting the main
letter?

1. This is a bug in recent versions of Word. Help is wrong. Some users get
the desired behavior, but most of us get a choice between help with the
month or help with the whole date. Sorry.

2. You're not getting the full return address because Word is positioning it
outside your printer's printable area. You can use the Envelope Options to
position the return address farther down and to the right, but I believe you
have to change these settings every time you print an envelope. To change it
more permanently, go to Format | Style and change the Envelope Return style
to have a left indent and some Space Before.
