automatic conversion of text into date :(

Hi!

I'm pasting some data from Web into Excel tables. But unfortunetlly,
Excel transforms text '2/10' into date 'october 2'. How to prevent this
from happening. Please help me, because I looked everywere but no luck
:(
 
Format the cell. It is currently set to mmmm d. If you wish to retain the
2/10 fromat change it to d/mm.
