automatic bullets and numbering

Hello,
My name starts with an "A" and when I finish a letter and sign it with:
A. J. S.... , word automatically reads the "A. " as bullets and numbering
and puts an indentation between "A." and "J.". How do I turn off the
automatic bullets and numbering in Word 2003?

Thanks,
AJS

Hi ajs,
You can do it by unchecking the automatic bulleted list and automatic
numbered lists in the "AutoFormat as you type" tab of Tools || Autocorrect
Options. See if it helps.

If you're a different person from the one who generated a long thread on
this subject earlier, then you could usefully read that thread. Bottom line,
I think, was that the most sensible option, if you *don't* want to disable
automatic numbered lists, is to save your name as an AutoText (or better,
AutoCorrect) entry.

Thank you Raymond and Suzanne.
