Does anyone know how to automate the installation of the new Windows Live
Mail Desktop? It seems that this new version that they've put out that now
works for both XP and Vista doesn't allow this. The version I'm trying to
automate is 12.0.1184 and the executable is Install_WLMail.exe.

The standard /silent or /S or /quiet or /Q don't seem to do the trick.

Thanks!

The automated install of Mail should work fine with either of the switches

/quiet or /silent

Could you please provide the log files from the following folders.

For XPSP2:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\WindowsLiveInstaller\logs
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\WindowsLiveInstaller\MsiLogs
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\WLInstaller

For Vista:
C:\programdata\WindowsLiveInstaller\logs
C:\programdata\WindowsLiveInstaller\MsiLogs
C:\programdata\WLInstaller

Thanks for feedback and testing the Beta!
