Automacting Timing

I reused slides from another powerpoint presentation that had automatic timing
Once I re-used the slides I cannot get the timing to work. The slides came
over with timing but it will not automatically advance. I removed the
timing, closed out, reopened, added timing back and still get nothing!

HOW did you manage to reuse the slides ? What method ?
Do you reuse all the slides or just some ?
Have you tried :
Slide Show tab > Set up slide show >under Advance Slides heading, select
Using Timings > OK
