Autoexec not working on start up?

I want to use prempt a call before the event procedure beforedocumentsave via
a class module. This works fine except that the object is launched by an
autoexec call in a module (word 2003). The code works fine if I run the
autoexec by pressing F5 in the VBE, but doesn't run when just opening the
template. I verified this by putting a breakpoint on the autoexec and
opening a new doument off the template. The code only stopped via manually
running the autoexec. I also tried to run this via the thisdocument.new proc
but it can't reference the object in the class module.

You have posted in an end-user forum. For programming issues, you would be
better served by posting in one of the word.vba hierarchy of NGs.
