AutoCorrect Storage Locations

There are two autocorrect files on my PC - mso1033.acl in my user folder and
mco.acl in the Office program files folder. Are both files used or just
mso1033.acl?

Also, it appears that if I add autocorrect text with symbols, the text is
saved in normal.dot instead of mso1033.acl. Is there a way to move these
type of autocorrect entries to the acl file or to another global template?
Thanks.

Formatted AutoCorrect entries are stored in Normal.dot because they are
available only to Word. The entries stored in .acl files are used by all
Office apps. The mso1033.acl file is for English entries; there is a
separate .acl file for each language. I don't know what the mco.acl file is,
but if you don't get an answer here, ask in the
microsoft.public.word.spelling.grammar NG.

Thanks for the information (and for the two previous postings as well)!
