Autocorrect is not saving between sessions

I have created a number of additions to the auto correct but when i go into
Word the next time they are not there.
 
Are you talking about plain-text AutoCorrect entries, or formatted-text
AutoCorrect entries? The latter are stored in the Normal.dot template.
If Adobe Acrobat 7.0 is installed on your computer, then the Acrobat
7.0 Create Adobe PDF toolbar add-in for Word prevents Word from
automatically saving changes to the Normal.dot template. See
