autocomplete

I use IE 6.0.2900, and have told it to save webaddresses, forms, and
usernames/passwords. In one of the websites that I go to I type the first
letter in and it gives me 3 options. One of those options is useless (it
was a typo). I have 2 questions.

1. Is this done using the autocomplete or using cookies?
2. Is there a way to delete just the useless entry?

Thanks.

Probably autocomplete but you don't say if this particular entry is
web address, form, or username/password.
Try moving the highlight to the typo when it is suggested and press
the Delete key.

Hi Bob :)

To remove an entry that is erroneous, outdated, or private, scroll down and
highlight it using the Down Arrow at the side of the dropdown list to
highlight it (not the mouse) and press Del.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you to both Jan and Alan. That did the trick. It was also intuitive.
Thanks again.
