Autocomplete

Bob S.

I have Windows XP Home, with all upgrades. I use autocomplete, but
would like to erase all the "forms" saved so far, because there are
too many. When I go to "Internet Explorer""Tools","Content",
an"Autocomplete", and press tthe "Clear Forms" button. I just get an
hourglass that stays forever, and no forms are deleted. I have run
Disk Cleanup, and System Restore, but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to either make the button work,
or use some other method (such as deleting the entries from some file
where they must be stored)? Thanks.

If you are comfortable editing the registry try this:

Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ IntelliForms\ SPW

and delete any encypted entries that are listed in the right pane window,
leaving only the (Default) entry.

If you don't like the results, you can right-click> merge that exported .reg
file and undo the deletion.

Isn't,t that done in internet options---general tab---delete button under
browsing history --then, delete history?
