autocomplete shortlived

My Autocomplete remembers only those email addresses to
whom I actually sent an email that day. Once the program
is closed, it loses all its memory and we start again.
Any ideas why?

Of course. Autocomplete has nothing to do with the Address Book. Just use
the same Outlook Data File and everything will be the same, except
autocomplete will work again.
