Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003. After a user marries or divorces we change all
the account information in AD for the new last name. Autocomplete in Outlook
2003 will show lastname firstname "<name>". After changing all account
information autocomplete still shows "<name>" as the old name. Where does
this "<name>" come from and can I change it. How about with ADSI edit?
Thanks

You may be interested in an autocomplete editor that we developed for the
NK2 (autocomplete) file. You can find it at
www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. It's called Owtlook.

The downloadable demo version is for single user/workstation only. You'll
need to contact the company for corporate pricing.

Your autocomplete cache is in a file with extension ".NK2" and is in the
hidden folder %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook
and can I change it.

You can delete the bad entry by using your arrow keys to select it and then
pressing Delete. You can also clear the cache completely by deleting the
file. Outlook will create a new cache the next time you send a message.

The autocomplete cache contents has no connection to your Contacts folder.
Items get added to it when you put them in the To field of a message and
Outlook resolves the name, whether from your Contacts folder or not.
