OK, but this client has typed the names, many, many times. And it
still
does
not autocomplete the address for him.
So I have to tell my client that Outlook does not automatically add
replied
to email addresses to the Contacts list?
:
Autocomplete relies on names already typed to resolve automatically -
it
does not pull from the contacts folder. It is built dynamically.
Outlook 2002/2003 and Outlook 98/2000 Corporate or Workgroup mode does
not
have the ability to automatically put people to whom you have replied
in
the
address book/contact folder. You would need to right click on the
address
and add the name that way.

After furious head scratching, Skuzzmeister asked:
| I have a client whos autocomplete is not working. "Automatic Name
| Checking" is enabled, but it will not pull names out of the contact
| list into the message header To:, cc:, or Bcc: fields.
|
| Also, is there a way to have all of the email addresses that have
been
| replied to automatically add themselves to the contacts list?
