autocomplete does not work

In Windows XP-Home clicking on internet options, content
and highlighting autocomplete or my profile, then
clicking ok does not get the process to work. Is it
because the apply button is pale and will not accept a
click? Article 306895 refers to this problem for Windows
2000 but the first two solutions suggested do not work
and the third one refers to a file Regsvr32/uRSAbase.dll
which my version of Windows cannot find. Thanks.
