The hard drive that I was using crashed with my boot sector being wiped. I
have used the XP Professional cd to repair the hard disk. The computer
starts to boot up on its own, until I get the error message that Autochk.exe
can not be found. I have seen the autochk.exe file in the
c:\windows\system32 folder. Is there something that I am forgetting? I am
hesitating to just reformat and do a clean installation as there is still
data that I would like to recover, and the SET command is Rovery is not
allowing me to change any setting.
