Auto update on outlines

I have set level 2 to automatic update. When I go to level 2 after being in
level 1 I expected to start numbering from the beginning. It doesn't work.
I am using Word 2007. Does this just not work in Word 2007? I tried the
suggestions for word 2003 from my last post but it is hard to follow in word
2007

Place the insertion point in the first level 1 paragraph of your multilevel
list. Then click Home tab | Multilevel List | Define New Multilevel List.
Click the More button (if necessary) to see the whole dialog box. Click
level 2. Select the "Restart list after" option, and choose "Level 1" in the
drop down. Also, make sure that "Start at" is set to "1" (or "a" if level 2
uses letters, of course). When you are done, click OK.

Thank you, I finally got the outline I wanted. However I still could not
get the one to work that I imported. for some reason the restart list
didn't work on mine. I use shortcut keys - perhaps that is the problem

Transferring numbering formatting between documents can be tricky. It is
usually easier to make a copy of the document that contains the original
list formatting, and then paste your existing text into that copy. (This
task will be easier if you make use of style-based numbering and templates.)
