Auto Shut Down

I keep getting the following message under the authority
of " NT Authority/System".

Windows must restart because the Remote Procedure
Calculation (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.

This only happens when I am online and probably on
downloads.
I am running Win XP, Latest IE and all updated. It also
occurs on my laptop.
