Auto-Refresh?

One of the websites I visit frequently
(www.drudgereport.com) automatically refreshes about every
3-5 minutes. Is there a way to avoid that automatic
refresh? It does not happen on any other websites I visit
regularly, and I cannot find any setting/preference that
affects it. Help appreciated.

In IE go to Tools...Internet Options...Security tab, click the Internet Zone
to highlight, Custom button.
Scroll down to the Misc. section and disable "Allow META REFRESH", okay out.

Thanks,

Did that, no change. Perhaps I have to restart the computer
for it to work?

Thanks again.

Any other ideas guys?

Meta Refresh is not the only way that a site might implement that feature.
It could also do it using scripting. As a test you could disable Active scripting
(or set it to prompt).

Note: I have not visited the site to try to figure out exactly what you may be seeing.
Probably they want you to see some ads so if it's an otherwise free site
you could regard this as the cost to you of using it.

Good luck
