Auto-Filter Intermittently Disables

I have an issue in Excel which I can't find a resolution for on Google or
Microsoft Help, etc. I'm looking for any advice that I can because it's a
VERY annoying issue. Everyone I have asked thus far has never encountered
this problem.

My AutoFilters will intermittently quit working, but they are still enabled.
In order to make them work again I have to disable them and then re-enable
them. Since I use the auto filters all day long this is very inconvenient. :)

Anyone have any idea on why it keeps doing this and can help me keep my
sanity with my spreadsheets?
 
I can't explain why this is happening, but it seems like the filter
range is being affected by something, so that you only have a range of
1 row deep. When you disable then re-enable the filters they
re-establish the range. Do you have some other software / add-ins /
macros which might contribute to this?
