Auto Disconnect Not Working

How do I set my 6.0 browser(Windows 98 SE) to
automatically disconnect from the internet after being
idle for a certain period of time. I found a box in
Internet Options that I checked and then set it to
disconnect if idle for 15 minutes but it still will not
disconnect automatically. What am I doing wrong? Any help

I'm not sure how IE defines "idle". Last week I was online using the
keyboard but not the mouse, and had it prompt me to disconnect for
inactivity.
