auto delete

I am certain that messages are deleted from my inbox, and NOT BY ME! I have
seen the number of messages reduced in a matter of minutes. I cannot find
them in any other folders.

Sounds like the junk email filters at work.
 
I noticed the same issue recently. Am running Norton AV. Mine appears to
happen after I read an e-mail.

View menu>current view>show all messages, should be selected.
