Auto-Create new PST with old folder structure, but no items?

We have users that fill up PSTs like crazy. Then, of course, they need
to create new ones when they reach the upper size limits of the PST
(yes, we're still on O2K, and no plans to change very soon).

SOMEone must've come up with a util to simply copy a PSTs folder name
structure, without the items within folders, so that a user doesn't
have to manually re-create each folder and myriad subfolders.

Did someone? Anyone know of something? I'll vbs it if I have to, but
it'll take awhile.

Thanks!

Why not just set up archiving policies? That's a lot easier than doing code.
Just set up to archive every month or whatever and that will move older
items into an archive PST file. That can be opened just like any other PST
file can be if anything in the archive is needed. You can set up archive
files every year with the year name in the file name and change the archive
file every year so you have organized archives that can be searched by year
if needed.

Well, I assume you mean auto archive from the Mailbox? I'm talking about
saving certain items to certain differntly named folder in PSTs, not
mirroring the Mailbox structure. Are we talking about the same thing?

Example: User receives e-mail from (e-mail address removed). User wants to save
certain e-mail from JSmith into a PST called "Sales2004" in a folder
named "Smithy.com". But not every one, and sometimes someone ELSE from
that company might send an e-mail that User would want to drag to the
"Smithy.com" folder in the PSt. Sometimes no rhyme or reason.

BUT, PST "Sales2004" gets too big, and User wants to archive the whole
PST as read-only, and start a new PST, maybe called "Sales2004-2", with
the same folder structure, but newest items.

Can you Archive a PST to a PST? Is that what you're talking about?

I love your books, by the way. They're my bibles :) (maybe I haven't
read them well enough, since I'm probably asking silly questions,
though....)

Thanks
