Auto Complete

My auto complete is turned on. All the boxes
in "tools" "options" are checked. When I type a login or
password the Do you want Auto Completer to remember box
pops up.

And it doesn't remember.
Can anyone tell me why or what I should do?

Do I need to download IE 6 again?

My OS is XP Pro.
and I've tried all the advice and still no change.
Should I try to download IE?
