auto complete not working

Hello,
About two months ago, I gave a user a new computer with Office 2007. Ever
since he got the computer, the auto complete feature of Outlook stopped
working whenever he shut down his computer. Our e-mail is outsourced to a
company running an Exchange 2003 server. I have renamed his .nk2 file more
than once. I also completely removed his profile, deleted his .ost file and
recreated his profile. The same thing is happening. This never happened on
his old computer, so I'm wondering if it's something else. His solution is to
never shut down his computer, but obviously I want him to. I have had this
happen to other users, and renaming the .nk2 file has always been the
solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

This usually is being caused by an addin which end up terminating the
outlook.exe process instead of letting it shut down gracefully. The nk2-file
won't be properly written then or even could get damaged.

Office 2007 Service Pack 2 introduces a more reliable shut down behavior.
See if installing that already solves your issue.
