Authentication Problem Windows XP Pro in Peer-to-Peer Network.

I have a client that has a Windows XP Pro SP2 unit in a peer to peer
network. They have InoculateIT version 6 Workgroup edition. This software
requires a login setup for the application to push from the InoculateIT
"workgroup server" unit. I was unable to get this login to authenticate no
matter what I try. I have the correct Administrator account name and
password. In addition to this problem, I can't even access the
administrative share from any of the other workstations in the network (they
are all Windows 2000). I tried turning off the Windows firewall and even
sharing the root of the c: drive, but nothing helped. I could gain access to
the shares on the unit, but not the administrative share on any drive or log
on to the unit with the InoculateIT authentication utility. I'm a little new
to XP SP2 so it may be something there, but for the life of me I can't
figure out where the problem lies.

Help!! I need to get the AV installed.

TIA

Did you check with InoculateIT tech support? It may be a known issue
between their software and SP2 and they may have a patch and/or
workaround.

I think you might be missing the point, I can't even get to the
administrative share of any drive of this system from any other system in
the network. Is this normal with Windows XP SP2? I think this is the root of
the problem rather than it being an issue with the AV software.
