Sharing in a WINXP Peer-to-Peer network

Howdy! Howdy!

A quick question: in a Peer-to-Peer network with the
three or four computers running WINXP Pro when I go to
share a folder I notice that there is simply no option to
really set up the permissions. Is there any way to change
this?

Sorry for the newbie question. I have not worked much
with WINXP, and then even less in a Peer-to-Peer network!

Thanks all!

You have to enable the advance security options; provided you have NTFS (NT
File System) in place instead of FAT32. If so, launch Windows Explorer and
selet 'Tools' on the toolbar, then 'Folder Options...' on the drop-down
menu. After the Folder Option window opens, select the 'View' tab. Scroll
down to the bottom and disable 'Simple File Sharing' and this should do the
trick.

Best regards,

Todd
