Authentication pop up in website

I needed to put some word documents into a website, (see
www.bikersbenefitforkids.org , vendor, vendor application). That worked fine
I thought, until the Web publisher pops up with an authentication. How do I
put my vendor applications in there with out the pop ups from the publisher?
Hopefully I have used the proper terminology.

I may not actually know the answer to your question, but I noticed that what
you have done is insert the .doc file into the website. When you click on
the link, the computer opens MS word to view the document. You will have a
problem with a viewer who does not have MS Word installed on his computer.

What you can do is create a new page in FP and drag the .doc file onto the
page from Windows Explorer. FP will convert the .doc file into html for you
with formatting intact, and you will simply have a normal html page. This
should eliminate any problems from the publisher, although I did not get any
popups.

I also caught a spelling mistake:
"No sexually explicit graphics or text, including slang works for male or
female parts, will be allowed. Be allowed."

"Works" should be "words," and "be allowed" is repeated.

I hope this helps.

If you mean you get a request for Userid or password when the document
is opening, then it sounds like you have Word 2000 without any
updates. This is a bug that is cured in Office 2000 SP1, download and
install from www.microsoft.com

Thank you for helping me. I trully appreciate that, and for noting the typos.

Thank you very much for the information.

My pleasure. And my thanks to you for giving me a new outlook on bikers.

PS. Be sure not to convert the .doc file into html with Word. Drag the .doc
file onto the page in FP.
