Audio/Video help

I have a short 4 minute movie, however I want to have maybe 2 minutes of the
movie completely muted so that a song can be heard.....now the only way I can
figure out how to do that is by eliminating the background or video noise
through the "Audio Levels" button...but that just mutes the sound for the
entire length of the video...what I want is the first 2 minutes of video
silent---so song can be heard---yet when the song is over and there comes to
be a nice transition the background sound will fade in or somehow come
back...it seems like there could be a way of just clicking on an individual
clip and muting it, but so far I've been hard to press finding it....any help
out there?

And well it says its version 5.1 (from service pack 2) but down further it
says its version 2.1 which seems to be the norm....

If your 4 minute movie is all 1 clip use the "clip splitter" under the
preview window (ctrl - L) and split the clip where you want to to stop your
added sound track and begin the original audio. Grag both of the clips to
your timeline and mute the first clip then add your own sound track.
