Audio Information is Missing

In Windows XP, if I select a MP3 or WMA file in Windows Explorer, I will see
the information, such as Artist, Duration, Year etc. in status bar. I also
can see and modify these information in Properties box for this file.
However, this feature is missing now. When I select a audio file, I can only
see Type and size in the status bar. And in the Properties box, I can't view
and edit anything like Artist, Duration etc. I don't know what I did that
causes this problem. How can I enable that feature? Thanks a lot.

Did u recently uninstall any software that may have
contained a cdda service.... basically that gets the name
and info about a song through the internet
