audio import problems

We just purchased Windows Movie Maker and are trying to familiarize ourselves with it. We wanted to import a movie clip from an analog VCR and have succeeded in importing the video, but not the audio. The "video capture" options will only allow us to select "Mix Stereo," not "Mono Stereo" or any of the other options (i.e. "Line 2"). We think this may be the problem. Any advice?

To capture from an analog source, you need a capture card. What brand and
model device are you using?
