Audio Files and Power Point

I use PowerPoint97 and have tried to insert various audio files in my
presentations with mixed results. Windows Media does not work neither does
Real Player or MP3. Which formats can I use?

WAV and MIDI both work in PPT 97. You cannot insert an MP3 into PPT 97, but
it will play them if they were inserted in a different version of PPT.
